Welcome to Odyssey of the Mind (OotM).
There are three teams moving on to World Finals in Ames, Iowa. They will be fundraising to get the needed funds to attend World Finals.
RFA is PROUD to sponsor 4 programs for Odyssey of the Mind; this year Rowlett added Odyssey Angels.
Odyssey Angels is a program where the team members find a need in the community, and the team works on solving the need in a creative way.
Free Enrichment: Rowlett students are able to learn the Odyssey of the Mind process with a one hour a week enrichment class. Offered for 2nd - 4th graders.
Competitive Teams: Rowlett students in 3rd - 5th grade who are ready to make the commitment to an OotM team. There is a fee to participate but full and partial scholarships are offered, thanks to our generous supporters: Braille Works, The AAUW of Manatee County, The Manatee Education Foundation, Parents and the Rowlett Academy Family Association and Volunteers.
Rowlett Alumni Competitive Teams: Teams are made up in whole or part of former Rowlett Students in 6th-12th grade. The former students’ schools either do not offer an OotM program, or the students are not eligible to participate on a team, due to specific program stipulations, not behavioral or academic concerns. These teams are limited due to the need for volunteers to coach the teams
